ODOT District 4, working with the City of Norton, proposes to improve safety at the SR 585/Eastern Road intersection in the City of Norton. This project, known as WAY/SUM-SR 585-18.43/0.00; PID 107165, includes closing the median at this intersection and constructing U-turns north and south of the intersection and converting it to an RCUT intersection: Restricted Crossing U-Turn intersection.
You are invited to attend a public involvement meeting about this intersection safety project. See attached flyer for a project overview and meeting information.

The public involvement meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shirley L. McGuire Community Center, 4060 Columbia Woods Drive, Norton. The public involvement meeting will be conducted in an open house format with no formal presentation. Attendees may arrive anytime between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Mapping, exhibits, and plan information will be displayed during the public involvement meeting. Throughout the open house, representatives of the ODOT project team will be available to discuss the project plans, potential impacts of the proposed project, and address any questions or concerns about the proposed improvements.

ODOT requests information regarding the presence of any known cultural resources in the vicinity of the project. Cultural resources include prehistoric and historic archaeological sites, historic bridges, historic buildings, sites and districts.
